My entries to the 109th Pittsburgh Salon of Photographic Art. I have six projected digital image (PDI) entries and six print competition (PC) entries.

In the spring of 2018, the Pittsburgh chapter of the IEEE visited the Carrie Furnace (named for a family member of the original builder) on what started and ended as a beautiful summer day, punctuated with a thunderstorm for local color.

Images of the glaciers of southern Argentina form an exhibit at the Shaler North Hills Library, October 2017. These images were captured on a journey to Patagonia made in June 2015. Because this is below the Equator, it's the equivalent of January in the Northern Hemisphere.

In the early days of Microchip Technology's success, we sponsored a Grand Prix car, piloted by Paul Gentilozzi - winner of the 24 hours of Daytona. In 2002, one of the races was held in Cleveland, and I was invited to join the executive staff to attend as part of the pit team.

In 1983, the Seabrook Nuclear Power Complex outside of Portsmouth New Hampshire was still under construction. Since all the business and engineering management was run by MIT graduates, the MIT club of NH was granted a rare, exclusive and extensive inside tour of the entire facility, including the reactor. Decades later, it's still producing power, and I'm finally processing my images.

One of the advantages of serving in the USAF was great access to airshows - usually behind the scenes as a maintenance technician helping to launch the aircraft. By 1979 I had enough rank to be able to enjoy the show as an onlooker.

I was fortunate to make it to the 1977 Paris Airshow. I've always loved airplanes and this year was one of the richest ever: the A-10, F-16, F-15 were all new at the time, and BOTH the Russian and Anglo-French Supersonic Transports (SST's) were on display. (1977)
