DESCRIPTION:The New Kensington Camera is hosting a summer exhibit\, “Americana”.  Several of my favorite photographs representing this American life will be on display. \n\n\n\nThe Allegheny-Kiski Valley Heritage Museum (the Museum) has been hosting the New Kensington Camera Club since we moved out of the Pittsburgh Mills Galleria some months ago.  Among the many benefits\, we no longer have to worry about losing a car in the world class pot holes that continue to plague that location.   The Museum itself is an often overlooked gem hosting a wonderful array of historic artifacts from all around the Pittsburgh Area. \nThe Museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12PM-3PM.  There will be an opening reception on July 19 from 12PM-3PM

DESCRIPTION:Come on out to the New Kensington Camera Club meeting at the Allegheny-Kiski Valley Heritage Museum.  I’ll be giving a presentation on my recent trip to Spain and the PhotoPills Camp on the Balearic island of Menorca. \n\n\n\n  \nPhotoPills Camp was a seven day workshop with a dozen master photographers where we learned to use the PhotoPills app to plan and shoot sun\, moon\, and milky way shots.  In addition\, we’ll spend some time exploring the works of Antoní Gaudi and follow in the footsteps of George Orwell as he fought in the Spanish Civil War in Barcelona. \nAll are welcome and you’ll have an opportunity to learn more about the New Kensington Camera Club.  To see what we are about\, and see what other events are planned\, check out our Focus On The Arts page on Facebook

DESCRIPTION:The Academy of Science and Art of Pittsburgh (the Pittsburgh Photography Club) has sponsored “The Pittsburgh Salon of Photographic Art” for more than a century. Over the years it has been presented at various venues including the Carnegie Museum of Art. \n\n\n\nI will have six prints and six digital images in this year’s salon and am looking forward to seeing you there!
